Start by marking out your edge.

Remove grass, roots, mulch, and loose soil along the line of your future concrete nib.
You want a stable, compact base. Any soft or uneven ground can affect the finish and alignment later on.
If the ground’s loose, give it a firm tamp down before moving on.
A good concrete nib should sit flush with the lawn and slightly proud of garden beds or gravel.
Use a level or straight edge to make sure your ground isn’t dipping or rising unexpectedly. Small adjustments now prevent wonky edges later.
This step makes the difference between “good enough” and properly tidy.
Before installing your garden nib, make sure you know how much concrete you’ll need.
As a guide:-
One 20kg bag of instant concrete covers approximately 1.1 metres of SNAP-IT™ edging.
Measure your total run length and divide by 1.1 to estimate how many bags you’ll need. Always allow a little extra to account for minor ground variation or waste.
